Tethered Pain by Autumn Winchester

4.0

Thanks to Gay Romance Reviews, I got to experience this book as my first ever ARC read and I was not disappointed. Autumn Winchester had me captured from the very first page!

The book tells the story of the aftermath of two human trafficked survivors and how they cope with the lasting PTSD to eventually falling for each other.

It started off with a bang and I was doubtful the rest of the book could live up to the start of it, but I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire way through. The way the Winchester writes the protagonists had my heart aching for them. I felt like I was right there with them! The book should definitely come with a warning label and was a real eye opener for me because of the in depth and real life descriptors of depression and darkness etc.

I did enjoy this book but I was left wanting more at the end and I sure hope that we get to discover more of Zeek and Judah.

Triggers: depression, kidnapping, and self-inflicted abuse.

I rated this a good 4 out of 5 stars.

(I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.)
