The Children Act by Ian McEwan

4.0

Gripping, sad, and existential. McEwan gives us an intriguing slice of life for a high court family judge, and a very real-feeling mid- life crisis marriage. I have to give it 4 stars because of the sheer beauty of the prose and storytelling, but it's a bit too sad and hopeless to be a book I love.
