Every Single Lie by Rachel Vincent

5.0

Cover? Yes. Plot? Even more yes.

I was glued to this book because I needed to solve this mystery (and because I haven’t read a YA mystery/thriller in a while). I was here for every twist and turn. I had theories and backup theories that I kept changing and then reverting back to because damn , things moved fast. After going back and forth with my theories being right and wrong ... I’m happy to report that one of my hundred theories was right!

I loved Beckett and reading her family life, especially with the small town culture while she is the centre of a horrific rumour-induced mystery. She gave me Pippa from A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder vibes which is probably why I enjoyed her narrative. Pippa too would start the book off by breaking into her ex’s car and then using the law in her favour.

Also that author’s note at the end ... goddamn. I love the story even more now.
