This was such a sweet book. This is my first Georgette Heyer after reading quite a bit of Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas, and I'll be back for more. The prose was very different from modern historical romances, which took a bit to get used to but helped immerse me in Arabella's world. It got easier as I went along, and by the last third of the book I was laughing out loud at some of Mr. Beaumaris' quips.
