While “instalove” is my least favorite romance trope and this novel had very little conflict with a resolution that wraps up too neatly, it was a fun, festive, SUPER steamy read that was fitting for my lack of attention span this holiday season. The side characters made me laugh often, and I love that Aiden, the adorable, optimistic, vulnerable boyfriend, was based off of Ted Lasso. I couldn’t help but root for his happily every after/ “matching robes” moment the entire time.
