This was good but just had a lot of frustrating moments.
I loved getting more of Rhys and Alucard but Lila continues to drive me nuts. She is a strong female character but only because she is constantly thinking about how she's so much better than everyone else. This idea has always irritated me when woman characters are only strong because they think they are superior to everyone else. I hate it when anyone is full of themselves so it makes it all the more frustrating when that is the one trait that makes a female character a "great female character." I know that others have no problem with this but will never be my favorite.
I plan to eventually read book three because I do really enjoy this world and Schwab's writing but hopefully Lila will chill out with the superiority complex lol
