This was a hard one. For many reasons. There are triggers everywhere.
I think the only thing I can seriously say made me itchy was the change in POV chapter titles. The Manipulator/The Shadow to The Diamond/The Hunter was a bummer. I know that the entirety of the story shifts but dang. It just didn’t feel like it worked changing that bit.
The detail of tragedy and outright horror of being trafficked is horrifying and trying approach to be made readable isn’t easy.
I can’t days this was enjoyable but it was quite a story.
Side Note: I do hope that Rio gets his own book. I’d read the crud out of that.
