The first 2/3rds of the book was really laid back, world build, establishing the plot. At times it was kind of boring for me. I kind of wish there was some more creativity with the food, like creating new things instead of just renaming something that already exists. I’m not quite sure how to describe it but sometimes it almost felt like it was an essay and not a book. I really liked the last third of the book, that’s probably because that was the part with the action. Overall it was an ok book. I definitely would not read it again.
