A take on superheroes by a great fantasy author, Sanderson takes a dark spin on it, telling the story of a resistance in a superhero apocalypse. It isn't his best work, perhaps as a YA story, and the epic set-up and supporting characters is wasted on a whiny protagonist. The plot is effective and the worldbuilding, as always is well-done and surprisingly realistic for a superhero story but the protagonist put me off from reading the sequel.
