So I was entirely unprepared for how much I was going to love this book.
The writing is fantastic. It’s my first Pepper Winters and I am super impressed. I felt like I just wanted to highlight the entire book. So many really good lines!
I found myself getting frustrated with our MCs throughout the book but by the end everything they did or said made sense!
Some of the things Tess did and the way she kept going back and forth with her feelings irritated me, but as soon as I tried to really put myself in her shoes I completely understood her. This girl goes through a lot and she’s understandably conflicted about some of her feelings.
And Q!!! I love Q! In the first half of the book I really didn’t know if the author could make me love him but she seriously succeeded! He’s one of my new favorite book men! (And I won’t even lie, not usually a big fan of Frenchmen)
This one is a bit dark, our heroine is kidnapped, trafficked, sold, and all you would expect would come with that, so prepare yourself if you’re going to read this but man did I love this one.
