The concept was a bit better than expected but it tread too close to Twilight! I wish these YA authors would realize that there is more to a description of a human than just eye and hair color! Talk about wrinkles, height, odd tics, something other than hair & eyes. UGH! Also, if a girl is orphaned with only one sibling left, why wouldn't she go to her sister with EVERY question? She doesn't even mention a talk with Tessa (her sister) until half way through the book. Despite the cliff hanger ending, not going to read the next book in the series.
