Tempting Tristan by Melissa Foster
5.0
Tristan “T” Brewer has a job where he meets new people every day. Alex Wells is the perfect star to many a woman’s wet dream. These two men show that not all scars are on the outside. It’s not long before prejudice is brought into the storyline. This is what’s sad in this world. There are always going to be people who will judge us by what they see. Being these are two guys some of their talk is very descriptive so only you can decide what you’re comfortable with.
Our author has her characters comfortable in their own skin. I don’t know about you, but as I read I see two people trying to build a relationship. All we want is to love and be loved. What I loved about this author is the way she went about building that relationship. They got to know each other and we got to know them at the same time. Their conversations seem so plausible. Nothing was rushed and we got to see other characters that cared about Tristan. One good friend was Brandon – would love to know more about him.
Ms. Foster also creates a community that you want to go visit. I can imagine going to Harborside (since it is in Massachusetts) and trying to find the perfect spot to reread this story. But then why not go one step further and take a vacation and bring the whole series with me. Even though this is a stand-alone there are characters that appear that you will want to know more about. If you’ve never read the author’s work before, this would be a great introduction.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
