This book is a masterpiece in storytelling and narration. I watched the movies first when they launched and I didn't read the books until now. Despite already knowing what happens, the book felt refreshing. I got myself lost in its pages for hours without being able to stop.
I am not a fan of first person POV when it comes to narration. And yet having the story told entirely by Katniss' perspective gave an edge to the story that was missing from the movies. Her inner conflict and battles made the book much more interesting and got me fully engaged in its plot.
Suzanne is brilliant like the book she meticulously crafted. A must read to fans of Dystopian novels and any reader that wants to find books that somehow parallel our own realities.
