Again a delightful installment to the series! It was hard to separate the images of the characters in the novel vs the TV show, as they are I would say, different enough that the show is only loosely inspired by this sequel. Yes, the personalities of our dear Kate are pretty much the same, but the inner workings of Anthony's mind are much darker and he is much less a gentleman in the book. Sometimes in a funny or romantic way and others in a "man of the times" way that doesn't sit well (but is indeed accurate to the times) that was watered down for the show. Edwina is a very different person in the books. I prefer her here in the book to the TV show. I dont think the show did her favors. A lot of the circumstances are completely different, as well, I would say better as books tend to be, and we get to see a lot more of the marriage time which is lovely!

In all, I think I only gave this one 5 stars because I had seen the version of Anthony in the show. The version in the book is (usually) less likable in my opinion. But, as I cannot separate the two, the rating stands.
