October Sky by Homer Hickam

5.0

It was an extremely readable book in my opinion. I loved the movie from when I first saw it years ago, and the book, from what I recall, was adapted pretty accurately. It was a detailed vivid account where I was able to imagine what it would have been like growing up in Coalwood. I really liked that it was written like a fictional novel about his real life. I was surprised that the stories focused a lot more on personal and "anecdotal" events than only being about the rockets.
