I started this book as a more lighthearted filler between some longer series - definitely more of a focus on the spice than on the plot. However, by the end of it I was interested in the story and what was to come. The characters ended up being deeper than I thought, but I can't for the life of me get over him watching her as a kid growing up. Why!!! It just gave an ick to start off the book, and ultimately didn't feel necessary to the overall story. The ending left me wanting to find out what happens next, and I'm happy the series is just a duet so it is short and sweet (well maybe not so sweet, but definitely short 😉).
