2043...A Merman I Should Turn to Be
by Nisi Shawl
I listened to the audio book and was confused and disappointed.
The premise was excellent, modified humans becoming mer people, within the background of reparations. It had all the themes that I would enjoy.
But I don't know if it was the execution or my comprehension as I didn't know what the hell was happening. And if you were to ask me anything about the plot or characters after listening to it from beginning to end, I couldn't explain a thing.
And I was so looking forward to hearing LeVar Burton narrating and that was kind of flat too.
Inexplicable.
