Thank you Olivia Hayle, for gifting me an E-ARC of The Perfect Mistake in exchange for an honest review.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS:

This book, wow!
I don’t think I’ve read a nanny/single dad and I’m glad this was my first step into that trope.

Alec and Isabel have my heart and I loved them both so so much. I wanted more of them and their life together (even after reading the extended epilogue) I just wanted more and more of them. I didn’t want this book to end.

The kids were so cute and the relationship between them and Alec was so lovely.

The spicy scenes were great and loved that she highlighted things from books she wanted to do with him (and him being willing to do them yes please).

Them shouting at his dad was a great moment. I’m glad they were both able to stand up for themselves (and standing up for someone who’s not there to defend themselves).

I loved the characters of the housekeeper and the driver. They were such good choices as side characters and even with their small amount of lines I grew to love them.

This was such a lovely story of ups and downs, finding new dreams, letting go of the past and letting go of caring about what people think. I personally think it was done really well and shown through the book how much growth both characters had.

I think Olivia Hayle will be becoming one of my auto buy authors, her writing is right up my street and the stories she writes are ones I’m gonna love reading.
