Many thanks to NetGalley, Random House Children’s Books / Delacorte Press, and the author for the e-ARC.
3.5 stars.
A quick, enjoyable read - "We Fell Apart" takes us back to the world of "We Were Liars" and "Family of Liars" - a.k.a. young love with a beautiful beach setting and a mysterious family.
NOTE: You do not need to have read "We Were Liars" and/or "Family of Liars" to read this book, but there are major spoilers in this related to "We Were Liars".
This book is a good addition to the series, though I enjoyed (loved) the first two books more, especially as the plot twists were stronger in my opinion.
I wish we could have gotten to know the characters a tad bit more (i.e. their backstories) though I liked each of them enough regardless. Also, the author once again includes the occasional stilted writing style, which I think is meant to be lyrical in prose but is actually really annoying and at times confusing.
Overall worth the read, especially if you enjoyed the first two books!
