Amazing writing style. Very unique, very engaging, quite addictive, too. And I found it humorous.

The plot was also pretty interesting and new to some degree. Sure, the whole brother/sister-died-and-now-the-MC-has-custody-over-the kids Trope is old but I liked that both the heroine and the hero have been friends for a whole and have both had relationships and hook-ups during that time. So, yes, the heroine isn't a virgin and nope, she also wasn't a spineless girly who pined for the hero and therefore couldn't have fun with others just like he was... Not this woman. She is sassy, and definitely doesn't let him have his way all the time
Also, she knows what she wants in the end and is determined to do everything so that she can finally live her life and doesn't only have to manage his. Loved that about her but that was also one of the main reasons why I wasn't fond of the hero.

The hero?
The heroine basically gives up her life for her friends and the hero? Still wants her to continue working for him. He didn't even see that she wasn't happy, he didn't really care. And he definitely didn't do anything to assure her...

Something that I need to add here is that the heroine walked in on the hero and another woman twice. We don't observe that as well, though, it's something the heroine tells us in the beginning. Still, know it's a pet peeve of some and I get it.

Another aspect I found terrible? The first Sex they had with each other? In a freaking car. And the heroine was super uncomfortable. Annoyed me to no end.

Anyways, all in all, I liked this one. The ending confused me quite a bit... It was a bit abrupt and I don't think that we found out everything we wanted to... Take the Kids, for instance,... I definitely wanted to read that the MC had a real conversation with them. About, you know, the dead parents or something. Now, he did talk to some of them but more along the lines of... Sorry you lost them. No talk about, I don't know, heaven or whatever place kids should Imagine their parents in...

This book was a surprise, a very positive one, but it also wasn't perfect....
