When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker

5.0

Worldbuilding: 5
· Everything from the dragons to the physical world, to the magic system, to the different cultures, to the languages, felt incredibly thought through. It can be seen that a lot of thought was put into worldbuilding, giving the book a real high-fantasy feel that I truly loved.

Plot: 4.8
· Not really a traditional plot structure in the book with introduction-climax-resolution, seeming as nothing really got resolved during this book.
· However, there was a lot of set up for future books, which made me very excited. Its clear there is a much bigger story at play.
· (All the retroactively revealing her backstory as she remembers it is also *chefs kiss*)

Romance: 5
· Love me a good I love you but I wont allow myself to love you because ✨trauma✨. I was kicking my feet and blushing at all times with their chemistry and the devotion Kaan showed for her at all times (which is truly what makes a man sexy)

Spice: 4
· Rating based on quantity since there is only one major sex scene (Which I thouroughly enjoyed, as it felt like it enhanced the plot rather than being the plot).
· HOWEVER, quality definetly a 5. I was sweating each time this man spoke to her

Characters: 4
· Felt some characters were a bit underdeveloped, but i assume this is because they will get their moment to shine in future books. I loved Kaan, nothing better than a truly devoted man. Raeve is super badass and strong, although she does not know how to cope in healthy ways. Other characters... can't say much about them since, as I just said, not much development.

Overall, amazing book. CANNOT wait till the next one comes out. It is an immediate buy for me.
