This was a solid read! It did take me very long to get through but that’s not the books fault! I loved the characters and definitely love how Marian was written! I will also admit I did not read the first book but that was not purposeful! 1/3 of the way through i realized it was part of a series but honestly i think it was fine! would i have enjoyed the book more if i read the first book? probably but it didn’t completely ruin my experience if that makes sense! The characters were fun to read and the plot was very enjoyable! It did get a bit slow at the end but it doesn’t last too long! Maybe i’ll even read the first book now ahhaha highly reccomend this book if you like historical romances like this
