Murder, She Knit by Peggy Ehrhart

4.0

A fun mystery. Pamela Patterson is a widow, her daughter is in college, she's an associate editor of a craft magazine and edits articles (working from home), and belongs to a knitting club that the members call Knit and Nibble. They meet in each other's homes to knit and talk and take a bread for coffee or tea and some goodies. Pamela runs into a woman she knows that used to work with her husband's architect firm and was a big help to her when he was killed. She invites her to the knitting club meeting at her house. The woman does not arrive, but when Pamela goes out to look for the dish she fed the stray kitten out of, she finds her body in the hedge by her house. So kicks off a big why. Then another woman living in the same apartment house as the deceased is killed. Pamela finds her body, too. The police are not happy.
