The Master by Claire North
4.0
Read these in rapid succession and am reviewing them as a set.
They are all great standalone satisfying and complete stories as well as being a successful part of the Gamehouse narrative arc. An arc which works across centuries and a wide variety of settings.
And they are also perfect as novellas, feeling neither like short stories that ramble on for too long, nor like novels that won't commit.
