The Ice Duchess by Tracy Sumner is a part of A Scandalous Christmas comprising 8 different stories from 8 different authors.

I have certainly become a huge fan of Tracy Sumner and her writing. The characters are lovable and as this story is centered around the very jolly and cheerful time of Christmas that embodies all things love, The Ice Duchess becomes even more sweet and delightful.

Dexter Reed Munro and Georgiana Whitcomb are childhood friends but ambition and passion for all things “fossil” have separated them for 7 yrs where in Georgie was forced into a marriage with an abusive older man. Dex’s return as heir to the Duked of Markham has opened his eyes about his worthy companion. But his task is a challenging as Georgiana has no desire to let go of her independence, thus begins the charming story of a man hell-bent on convincing his best friend about the pleasures of marriage.

Both Dex and Georgie are extremely fascinating characters and their love that comes to fruition on the Twelfth Night, the Feast of Epiphany, the official end of Christmastide was filled with light and feel good peppy moments. The sensual love between was steamy and the chemistry brilliantly hot. It was exciting to see Dex with his craze of geology and asking Georgie to meet him at a museum was hilarious at best.

If you are looking for a historical romance book with Christmas background, this one perfectly fits the bill.
