White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin DiAngelo

4.0

4.5 stars

Powerful read, and one that reflected personal experiences and named relatable scenarios. It can contradict itself at times, which can make it confusing & unclear how the reader can best receive/act-on the content, but all-in-all an insightful resource. One should approach it open-minded, but also accept that it is only 1 entry in a vast collection of texts that address the complex issue of racism --written by diverse authors and read by uniquely conditioned readers. Ultimately, "the arc of moral progress is long," and as time passes and our cultural (slowly) evolves, it's advice will likely (ideally) become outdated; and yet, it is valuable and prescriptive for our tiny point in time.
