Black Elk Speaks: The Complete Edition by John G. Neihardt

a fascinating read and look into the life of the Lakota tribe, albeit told through a very...interesting(?) narrator. a lot of the footnotes in my copy alluded to Neihardt fabricating parts of Black Elk's story and overall experience with indigenous people. regardless, the photos and drawings that were included were beautiful and interesting. i'm glad to have read this
