The third installment of the Crescent City series fell a little short compared to previous two books. This is mostly because the plot was BUSY! We experienced the story from multiple characters’ POV. Due to people being spread out across worlds, the switch felt jarring at times. Additionally, many major plot points occurred. With the fast pace, they often felt sudden and shallow.
I still love the story and the characters! I can’t wait to see how SJM continues to connect worlds.

Moderate: Cannibalism
< spoiler>there is a section where one character chews off another character’s hand in attempts to escape. Not super graphic, but graphic enough
