Sweethand by N.G. Peltier

Looking to steal a moment to sounds of soca, great food, and a hot childhood frenemy that happens to be the best man at your sister's wedding? Pick this up!

Cherisse, owner of the exceptional Sweethand bakery, has had it with men in the music industry. After a public break up with her ex, followed by a mental break down on a televised baking competition, Cherry is readily avoiding men. So why is it that when her nemesis Keiran King calls for a truce for wedding prep, she starts feeling something that shouldn't be there? For Keiran, Cherisse has always gotten under skin, maybe this truce will be the time to figure why. Of course, it doesn't help that he is also in the music industry. What happens when Cherisse and Keiran address the truth between them all these years?

Listen, I picked up this book because of the pretty cover and the fact that it is based in Trinidad. I loved the West Indian setting, the description of characters of color, and the romantic diversity in this story! Makes me want to get on a plane to Trinidad ASAP no Rocky.

Although a little predictable, this is a cute summer read and escape to the island should you need it! Can't wait to see what the series has in store.
