Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man's Fundamentals for Delicious Living
by Nick Offerman
This book is a joy, and was even better because I listened to Nick read the audiobook himself. The impression of Nick Offerman that I took away from his writing and narration is basically that he is a liberal Ron Swanson. He has his qualms with religion, but also with vegetarians. He is a ham, a stoner, and an actor, but he also loves woodworking and the great outdoors. Perhaps the best part of this book, however, are the passages when Offerman speaks of his wife. He speaks highly, and sometimes profanely of Megan Mullaley, and it’s hilariously endearing.
I highly recommend listening to the audiobook, but now I want to get a hard copy and reread it on my own time, it was that worthwhile and delightful.
