This story is dark and disturbing. I kind of wish I hadn’t read it as it is just upsetting, and I know it’s going to stay with me. The story is ugly and so are the characters in it. I couldn’t figure out if I should root for any of them. I do think it is well written and unlike any other story I’ve read (I.e., original). It packs a hurtful, ugly punch not to be forgotten any time soon.
