Wow, it's been a long time since a book has left me in such suspense. I've been in a dry spell of reading and picking up The Luminous Dead as the next read was definitely what I needed. If you liked the movie "The Descent" (the original not the cruddy remake) then you're in for a treat.
My heart ached and raced for Gyre the whole time. I had to restrain myself from flipping forward a few pages just to see if Em was still there or if Gyre was going to be okay. I downed this book in under 24 hours. It was definitely worth it.
