Lost In Him🧭 was my first Harloe Rae book, and let me just say, I was NOT disappointed. I love Harloe’s writing style. She used witty jokes, allowed us to understand the internal dialogue of the main characters in a way that was insightful and not cringey and forced, and had the perfect balance of hot and swoon-worthy moments.

This book was also the first Grumpy/Sunshine story that I actually enjoyed. Thorn was surly, sexy, and had me absolutely swooning. (Rune too🥰) However, his silent phase did annoy me for a hot minute. Additionally, the way he emotionally lashed out in the second half of the book felt a little ridiculous, but I know that’s just part of the trope.

I liked the idea of using a prologue to introduce Penny and provide her backstory. Knowing her background provided context for how she ended up in Minnesota. However, I feel like Penny’s backstory was kinda left behind after the prologue. There’s mention of 2-3 phone calls with her mom, but that’s it. This made the specific details used in the prologue feel kinda random for how specific they were and maybe even fall a little flat.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and the main characters, as well as the minor characters. It kinda made me want to go rent a cabin in Minnesota and hope it’s owned by a hot, grumpy man with a cute dog. I would definitely re-read and recommend Lost In Him🧭 by Harloe Rae, especially to those that love a good Grumpy/Sunshine trope.
