had a very fun last 100 pages, but the 200 or so before are pretty slow and complicated. Enjoyed finishing it, probably wouldn’t read again, but was a good change of pace and was different than a lot of books I’ve read.
⭐️ update a few days after: i increased my ranking, because this book has not left my mind. i loved how the author mixed in really impactful messages on how society perceives violence and women, and while my critiques of the narration style still stand i do appreciate this book more as time passed.
