Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour
by Bryan Lee O’Malley
Not quite so satisfying as the movie, but I did appreciate that, here, both Scott and Ramona both realize their need to grow up. I also greatly appreciated Ramona's rise to fight for herself, skewing away from the princess-rescue motif that so often characterizes this sort of story, particularly because she chooses to do so on her own and for herself rather than the common trope of her being pushed there by or to defend her man.
