gandygeorgia 's review for:
The Spare Room
by Andrea Bartz
Books set in the pandemic are just the biggest no for me. It wasn’t mentioned once or twice either it was constant references to masks, social distancing, pods, quarantine. Hated it. Who wants to read about that.
The twist was just silly and came from nowhere, the majority of the book is spent developing the 3 main characters relationship, at times I really was wondering what was happening with them all and looking forward to the big reveal but it was just ridiculous, disappointing and done for shock value. Totally destroyed what could have been an okay story.
The premise was so intriguing but this wasn’t a fun or enjoyable read.
