Just for the Summer
by Melody Carlson
I was really excited by the premise of this book, and it definitely delivered on the early 2000s romcom vibes. However, there were some parts that I think could have been better executed.
My biggest issues with this book was the timeline. I feel like everything happened unrealistically fast, especially all of the back and forth that happened at the end. I also feel like the ending was a little abrupt, and the story would have benefited from an epilogue. Overall, I did think the book was good, and it’s worth the read if you need something quick and lighthearted, but it could have been better.
