I enjoyed this book. I did not realise this was part of a series, and it was funny I had also read the book before in this series and hadn’t realised.

One thing I did pick up that was a bit strange, on the blurb on back of book, it states ...when multiple attempts on Aiden’s life are made.... but during the book I kept waiting for the attempt/s - not one, the attempts in my book were on Cordie not Aiden, so I’m not sure if I was missing a few chapters or the book cover was incorrect and whomever wrote the blurb on the back got confused with names or perhaps didn’t even read the book...

So Cordie has had a crush on Aiden since she was a child, but following her father’s heart attack she makes some decisions, like moving to another city (away from Aiden). She learns some things about her mother that she was not aware of.

These things she learns have big repercusions for Cordie and those that love her close ranks around her and try to keep her safe.

Aiden is smart, big and strong, good looking and apparently a top noth lover, but he also is quite chavenistic, he makes decisions for Cordie all through the book, I teeter between he’s a good guy, I’d like him on my side to what an a$$, he’d drive me nuts with his attitude.

Good news is you can read this book as a stand alone and the even better news is if you like book series, there are currently 13 or 14 books in this series....and I’m off to add these to my book buying wishlist.
