Eternal by Cynthia Leitich Smith
4.0
When I started this book I was really upset and confused because it was not the return of the characters from Tantalize. I was so upset I almost put it down, until I was promised a third book where everyone would meet. I'm REALLY glad I didn't put it down.
Just like with Tantalize it took me a little bit to get into the story but once I did I couldn't put it down. When Miranda first becomes a vampire I felt the story was a little disjointed and confused me. As I came to realize that is how she felt and since it was told from her point of view it made sense. I have trouble with stories being told in a disjointed manner but that's mostly a personal preference. And as Miranda became more coherent so did the story.
I like how these books don't always end with the perfect happy ending. Because let's face it when dealing with vampires(not that I ever have) not much ends up perfect. Things work out okay but not a perfect situation. Her endings always make me want to know more, which I guess is good for a series. I hope however when the final one comes out though it doesn't leave me hanging. I felt Eternal had a slightly more resolved ending than Tantalize.
Overall a good read and I'm excited for the third one.
Thank you to Ms. Dorsey for letting me borrow her advanced reader copy. Reading books before they come out is AWESOME!
