I've dabbled in the games and enjoyed the first season of the Netflix show but reading Geralt and discovering how cheeky he can be, I really enjoyed. I was a little disappointed in the insta-love between him and Yennefer, a character I was really looking forward to meeting in this book as far as their first interactions go. Though did like the part where
Geralt doesn't really consider her as an object of desire until he saw the truth of the hunchback she was in the past beyond the beauty she presents herself as.
That was interesting. Still wish it could have been drawn out a little more.
