The romance was definitely the best part of this book. It was a nice slow burn where both characters got to know and care for each other. However, the romance couldn't quite make up for the weak plot and world-building. The world felt only half finished with a lot of questions that should have been answered. Also, the pacing of the plot was all over the place; slow for most of the book until the last twenty pages which were so rushed it was ridiculous. I had such high hopes, and while it was by no means a bad book, it could have been better. If you're the type of person that gravitates more to romance, and the fantasy world comes second, then I think that you would enjoy this one.
