All The Lies by Rina Kent
2.0

The Amnesia trope and I are like oil and water. We do not mix well, so take my review with a grain of salt. I love the authors' writing style; she is skilled and amazing at what she does. I am deep in her universe's trenches, and I never want to leave. However, someone had to be at the bottom of the totem pole, and this duet is at the bottom.

I was ready to enter the Mafia world, but I was not prepared to experience college again with a Queen Bee Cheerleader, who had no memories of who she was or who her fiancé was. Reina was a solid character if you look past the 10 million bad decisions she made because she had no memories, and she was trying to remember. Trial by fire and all that.

Asher, on the other hand, was insufferable. You could not pay me enough to like him as a love interest. At one point, I tried to gaslight myself into thinking this was a love triangle and he wasn't the real love interest. Surprise, I was wrong. The freaking aviator glass. I .. just.. umm. Yeah.

I didn't love this book because I am someone who falls in love with characters. I will become emotionally attached to them quickly, and that's what determines if I genuinely like a book or not. These two characters felt one dimensional, which is crazy because I love Killian Carson. I don't understand myself.

Anyways, back to the Rina verse I go. Wish me luck.
