The discworld never ceases to be damn good fun. Especially when I’m having a tough time these books are just perfect because they never fail to make me laugh my arse off but also they don’t treat the reader like an idiot. You can just read these and enjoy then for the plot alone but if you read them with your brain switched on the numbers of references coming at you are just wild. The way Gilmore Girls throws pop culture at you constantly in subtle references Discworld does with all levels of society and culture constantly. Such a good book
