This is pretty much a five star read! Raven Kennedy does an excellent job of keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I literally binged this book in 2 days because I had to know what happened next!
While the spice is spicy,I found that the opening scene was definitely way more explicit than the scene of Auren and Midas having sex. I wish their scene was. Developed more so that we could understand his true love or obsession with her but Raven doesn’t write it in which is disappointing.
The only reason why I docked .25 of a star is because there are one or two moments that felt rushed and the FMC Auden makes some kind of stupid decisions. And I personally hate stupid or weak characters. However, she does redeem herself and I do appreciate the way the author world builds.
This is a SOLID well written book and im looking forward to continuing the series! I personally love me a good dark fantasy and this is dark so definitely read trigger warnings because I have a feeling it’s gonna get darker! Well done! Definitely give it a read!
