As with all on Jonasson's books, I loved that I felt like I was right there with the characters in a snowy, desolate Iceland winter. I like that this book seems to be the start of a detective series set in this far northern outpost of Iceland. The multiple POVs in the book made the murder(s) fun to unravel. Honestly I would have loved to give this book 4 stars for such a great reading experience, but the two separate infidelity plot lines just really tempered my enjoyment. Still going to read the rest of the series though.
