Funny Feelings by Tarah DeWitt

5.0

I loved this book. Maybe I was in the right mind space while reading it, but it struck a chord. It's sensitive and funny, wholesome and beautiful. Full of mutual pining and angsty bits, alternate with bouts of laughter bathed in the realism of it all. It was so easy to empathize with the characters, to feel their joy or anxiety or sadness. I rarely experienced this in the romance books I read over the past few years, (most of them felt flat, with characters lacking depth or made exaggeratedly perfect/flawed to be believable), which only makes me want to take this book and reread it every time I need a little pick me up.
