A State of Emergency by Richard Chambers

dark emotional informative sad fast-paced

Trying to describe this book is difficult. The insight into what we have all lived through for the past 2+ years from both inside government and from health workers points of view. While loaded with facts and points in time we all remember, it's peppered with personal stories that made my eyes well up. It also has some admissions of failings and an insight into the battles that were going on internally with government and within the civil service. Not the easiest read but one that will be read in years to come by people who want am insight into these "unprecedented times"
