I am still alive
by Kate Alice Marshall
I really liked this book! The character development was not only well written, but well-paced. It made complete sense for the main character to change and grow and exist in every way she did. The pacing of the book was also really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Also a nod to the description of the pain and injuries that Jess had prior to the book, as well as the way she must continue to take all of that into consideration. I've read many a book where a character is injured but they 'overcome their illness/injury/disability' to make it out alive and those just are not realistic. The author did an awesome job at making this seem realistic and as a chronic pain sufferer, I'm thrilled that someone actually understands the considerations!
