It feels like I've been waiting for Hawk and Sienna's book for ages, and this definitely meet all of my expectations and then some.

Hawke is the Alpha of the SnowDancer pack and he's butted heads with Sienna Lauren, a Cardinal Psy, since she and the rest of her family defected from the PsyNet. While everyone around them can see that the two of them could be perfect for each other, Hawke is convinced he can never give Sienna what she needs. He lost the girl who he new would one day be his mate in childhood, and wolves only mate once. But, when Sienna decides she's done waiting, and instead is ready to fight for what she wants, Hawke has some decisions to make. These two have an uphill battle to their HEA as Pure Psy (a group devoted to ensuring the Psy remain silent) has set its sights on SnowDancer and its alpha.

I love Sienna as a character, and her growth during the series has been fantastic. The trauma that she's endured and the psychic power she contains makes her more than a match for Hawke. Though for about the first 10-20% for the book, I wasn't sure he even deserved her. The "I don't want you, but no one else can have you" thing got old really fast. Hawke's devotion to his pack is admirable, and he is a great alpha. But, he also needed to pull his head out of his ass and realize what was right in front of him. And once he did that, I really loved watching their relationship develop.

Outside of Hawke and Sienna's relationship, there was so much else going on. Walker and Lara's courtship and mating was fantastic side plot. They are both wonderful characters, and I loved seeing them find their footing. And, I especially liked learning more about Walker's backstory. He's been on the periphery the whole series, but I liked getting his POV. And, I think his connection to the Arrow quad is going to come into play later.

Three Thoughts:
1. I was definitely not expecting the hunt for Alice Eldridge's research on X Psy to end like that.
2. Teijan fangirling a little over Nikita Duncan was kinda hilarious. And, I can't really blame him.
3. Sienna and Toby's sibling relationship is so sweet. "Sometimes, Sienna thought Toby had been sent into the world to balance the scales, an antidote to the sister who loved him to the depths of her soul, but who could create only pain, only suffering, only horror." I mean, how can you not love her?

I don't know that this is my favorite book in the series, but it is definitely at the top. The relationships were fantastic, the plot was action packed, and the implications going forward are endless.
