The unfinished sketch look of the line drawings is charming and whimsical, and the color pops beautifully when it shows up. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to read the handwritten text, but it was really pretty legible.
I was expecting a little more of a narrative, but instead it's a series of pithy one- or two-page affirmations. I found myself snapping photos of several of them along the way. But really I just mostly empathize with the mole and his love of cake ;)
